Andrew & Michelle

How They Met: Andrew and Michelle formally met at a happy hour in the spring of 2021. Although they had crossed paths over the previous 4 years while working on the same project but from different cities and from opposite sides of the table. When Michelle moved to Detroit in 2021, she impressed Andrew with her happy hour stories and Andrew similarly impressed her with his home roasted coffee and woodworking skills. After a fancy steak dinner it was official and they quickly became a family of three (+ Ash the poodle)!

The Proposal: For Ash’s birthday, Andrew suggested going on a hike - the same hike they took early in their relationship when their feelings were first solidified for each other. By the river Andrew proposed! A few selfies later, they ended the hike at a cider mill with cider and donuts to soak in the moment. After the hike, Andrew had planned a surprise engagement dinner. They celebrated with some of their closest friends and both sets of our parents who came to town for the occasion! It was the perfect day!

The Ring: The Ring is an Antique Old Mine Cut in our Bezel Solitaire Setting. Alexandra and Michelle have been friends for 18 years! They were randomly assigned as college roommates! Michelle explained it was the most meaningful and personal experience to have Alexandra be part of making their life story together.
